This privacy policy applies to the JioCinema - TV & Shows app (the "Application") for mobile devices created by JioCinema - TV & Shows Developer (the "Service Provider") as a free service. This service is intended for use "AS IS".

The Application does not require accounts, subscriptions, in-app purchases, Firebase, analytics SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs. Diary entries, quiz results, achievements, recent searches, AI chat consent, and visible AI chat history are stored locally on the device unless you delete them, reset chat, revoke AI chat data sharing, or uninstall the Application.

The Application uses The Movie Database (TMDB) API to load movie and TV information such as popular titles, search results, details, credits, similar titles, posters, and backdrops. Search terms and title requests may be sent to TMDB so the catalog feature can return matching movie and TV information. The Application does not send diary notes, quiz results, achievements, or AI chat history to TMDB.

AI Chat is optional and is blocked until you explicitly agree in the Application. Before any AI chat network request is made, the consent screen explains the data sent, recipient, and purpose.

If you agree, the Application sends the following AI chat data: message text, the chat_id created when the chat session starts, and a fixed system_prompt about movies and TV. The recipient is OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app. The purpose is only to generate movie/TV chat responses and recommendations.

OpenRouter Chat proxy acts as a third-party processor or service provider for the AI Chat feature. The third-party AI chat service is expected to protect submitted data under the same or equivalent confidentiality and security commitments described in this Privacy Policy. The AI chat backend may retain conversation history server-side using chat_id for conversation continuity. The Application stores the visible chat history locally on your device.

You can revoke AI chat data sharing in Settings at any time. Revocation resets the local AI chat session, clears local visible chat history, removes the local chat_id session state, and blocks further AI chat requests until you explicitly agree again. The AI Chat screen also includes a Reset Chat control that clears local chat messages and starts a fresh session without revoking your consent.

If you use the feedback form, the information you enter is used only to receive and respond to app feedback. Do not include passwords, credentials, payment information, or other sensitive personal information in feedback or AI chat messages.

The Application uses TMDB for catalog data and OpenRouter Chat proxy on Railway for the optional AI Chat feature described above. The Service Provider may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud, or in connection with trusted service providers working on behalf of the Service Provider who agree to confidentiality and security obligations.

You can stop local data storage by deleting entries inside the Application where available or uninstalling the Application. You can stop AI chat data sharing by turning off AI chat data sharing in Settings.

Local diary entries, quiz results, achievements, recent searches, consent state, and visible AI chat history remain on your device until you delete them, reset chat, revoke AI chat data sharing where applicable, or uninstall the Application. AI chat conversation history may be retained server-side by the AI chat service using chat_id for conversation continuity as described above.

The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the Application, contact the Service Provider so appropriate action can be taken.

The Service Provider is concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of information processed by the Application and uses reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards.

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. You are advised to consult this page regularly for changes.

This Privacy Policy is effective as of 2026-06-10.

By using the Application, you consent to the processing described in this Privacy Policy. AI Chat data sharing requires a separate explicit in-app consent before AI chat requests are made.
